Revell 1/72 Saab J29F "Tunnan"

This is the Review of the Saab "Tunnan" from Revell in 1/72

The "tunnan" was the second Swedish jet fighter. Despite looking like a "barrel" (tunnan in swedish), it was agile and effective in the air. It success and agility were demonstrated in the sixties, during a peace keeping mission on Congo.

About the model kit, simple and effective. Not much detail, but enough. Had to scratch build my landing gear, as I've lost the original, but it was ok. Landing gear wells could be more detailed.

There is a nice detail on the front lights, which come out when the landing gear is out.

The cockpit, has the "minimum required". Lets not forget this was a matchbox model from the early seventies!

But despite its age, it has engraved panel lines, and it is as "ugly" as the original. With some better work, the fitting can be better, this one has some long years, it was not that perfectly built... Did lost the decals...

A straight forward build, good for starting on the model kits as it is still still common, and it can be cheap. Better than that, it doesnt have that much delicate parts, which makes it good for when you are starting to get the hang of it.
